Master Richard Hoehn
Master Richard Hoehn is a highly accomplished martial artist and respected instructor with decades of elite training and competitive success. He is a five-time U.S. National Gold Medalist and a two-time World Self-Defense Champion (2019, 2021), recognized for both his technical excellence and real-world application of martial arts. Master Hoehn holds a 6th-Dan black belt in Jidokwon Taekwondo, a black belt in Sansoo Kung Fu, and has extensive training in Hapkido, reflecting a well-rounded mastery across multiple disciplines. He is also the first American to complete the grueling 100-man round of continuous sparring and grappling-an achievement that demonstrates extraordinary endurance, skill, and determination that led to his induction into the U.S. Martial Arts Hall of Fame.
His training began with his father, Richard William Hoehn, who learned overseas on a military base by Master Kim. Once he turned 15, Richard’s father brought to continue is training under under renowned masters including Yun Jun Lee, Hyun Park, Jul Yul Oh, Nam Won Kim. This unique training allowed him to carry forward a legacy of traditional martial arts excellence. In addition to his competitive accomplishments, he is a certified coach with both USA Taekwondo and the AAU, dedicated to developing students of all ages into confident, disciplined leaders on and off the mat.

Dr. Sheila Rochefort-Hoehn
Dr. Sheila Rochefort-Hoehn is an entrepreneur, author, educator, and community leader dedicated to empowering individuals and families through education, wellness, and service. She holds a PhD and is recognized for her expertise in areas including trauma, grief, domestic violence, mass shootings, rare disease impact on families, and narrative-based healing. A lifelong learner and advocate for personal growth, Dr. Rochefort-Hoehn combines academic insight with real-world leadership across multiple fields.
She is the co-founder of The Zen Life Center, a martial arts and wellness organization serving families and children. Under her guidance, the center operates as a mission-driven enterprise focused on character development, confidence building, and social impact. She is a 3rd-degree black belt, who specializes in self-defense and empowerment. Her martial arts philosophy emphasizes discipline, kindness, resilience, and service — values she integrates into all of her professional and creative work.
Beyond her professional achievements, Dr. Rochefort-Hoehn is a devoted mother and advocate for families navigating chronic illness. Drawing from personal experience, she champions awareness, support, and resilience for those living with invisible conditions. She is also a global traveler, explorer, scuba diver, and community philanthropist who believes deeply in using success as a platform for meaningful change.
